Editor,In reading the May 6 letter, "Recent racism issues merely a smokescreen," I knew it would be a matter of time before someone spoke out about rancher Bundy and NBA owner Sterling's right to freedom of speech being violated.  But, I offer to this letter writer and any of those that feel these two men have a right to voice their opinions...

Editor,I just read an article of April 24,  "Some Davis parents fear SAGE school testing is a federal plot." I hope this is not the kind of journalism you are satisfied with. The author did not even bother to interview one of the parents she cites in her title!   Also, the title was essentially mocking the parents who are concerned...

CLEARFIELD -- Social media helped solve a 35-year-old case behind what happened to a runaway teen from Michigan. The answer was in Clearfield, Utah.Now time is of the essence in trying to get the remains of the teen, who went by the name of Lee Beeler, back to his birth mother, who has been diagnosed with cancer for the second time.

After spending time in China while he was in the Marine Corps, Logan native Norman Skanchy observed the Chinese people doing tai chi. He later took his wife back to China in the 90's, and the two took lessons from an 80-year-old master. Skanchy is 88 years old, but is still very active as an artist and tai chi instructor.
