OGDEN -- The Satya Center for Spiritual Living and the Congregational United Church of Christ will present a burning bowl ceremony from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday, New Year's Eve, at UCC, 3350 Harrison Blvd., Ogden.
This will be the third annual Satya Center Burning Bowl Ceremony and is intended to help individuals release the past and establish new goals and intentions for 2014.
"Are you ready to let go of old, stagnant, negative thoughts and beliefs that may be blocking your success, happiness and health?" asks the Rev. Ali Benjamin, spiritual director of The Satya Center, in a news release.
"Are you ready to create a perfect future by setting your dreams and desires into motion? The Burning Bowl Ceremony is a time to relinquish anything that burdens your mind and at the same time identify those things you would like to bring into your life in the coming year."
The theme this year is "revisit, review and revise."
Everyone is welcome to participate in this free event.
Local musician Russ Taylor will be accompanying with his American Indian flute and didgeridoo.
According to the news release, The Satya Center for Spiritual Living is a community-run organization offering meditation, self-empowerment classes and workshops, community outreach and support, retreats, concerts and gatherings.
